Crime Victims Counseling

A Safe Place To Find Help
Anyone of us might become a victim of a violent crime. It does not just happen to "someone else." Even if you, a close relative, or loved one have not suffered the trauma of victimization, chances are you know someone who has.

The Crime Victims Counseling Program reaches out to victims and their families by providing effective crisis intervention, professional counseling and supportive case management.

Crime Victims Counseling Primary Goal is to Facilitate Recovery by:

  • Providing free and effective professional counseling and case management to victims and their families who reside in Brazoria County.
  • Promoting healing which will allow victims to participate fully in the criminal justice process.
  • Assisting victims to access existing community resources.
  • Helping victims and their families realize that they are not alone.

Crime Victims Counseling Program Utilizes:

  • Does the teacher seem happy to see me each day when I arrive?
  • Counseling services, designed to promote psychological healing held at least once a week in agency offices throughout Brazoria County.
  • Case management, focusing on practical problem solving and accessing community resources. The Case Manager is able to meet with the client in a variety of settings convenient to the client.
  • Together our services provide tools for change and a supportive environment. This encourages and promotes positive change for clients and their families.
